I have decided to step away from the toxic chemicals that are used in salons day in day out.
These chemicals can cause skin irritation, reactions, sensitivities, redness in the eyes and are toxic for the environment. I recently found out I was allergic to PPD's which is in most hair colour.
Needless to say I was devastated, but also not surprised.
I have been colouring hair and working in salons for over 17yrs, so it was only a matter of time before the overload of chemicals caught up with me. I am happy to say I have found a CLEAN colour that has eliminated all the harsh chemicals, which is safer for you and for me.
If you need 100% natural hair colour then Henna will be your best friend. I have made the health choice to stop using these chemicals in my day to day life and I must say by making the switch has been the best decision I have made.
I don't get that wafting smell of Ammonia when I am mixing up my colours, I don't get red glassy eyes at the end of a busy day and my dermatitis has settled down on my hands. Its been the best health choice I've made for my hairdressing career.
