HAIRDRESSING

Certificate IV in Hairdressing

This is an advanced skills course, which has been designed to expand and develop your complex technical hairdressing skills and knowledge and it follows on from Certificate III in Hairdressing.

With this qualification you will be able to do highly creative work, specialising in colour and lightening, hair designing and cutting. This is a great course for hairdressers wanting to specialise in styling, cutting and colour or perhaps for those interested in preparing stage hairdressing/ fashion shows. With this qualification you also learn how to plan and apply make-up, waxing manicures and pedicures and eyebrow and eyelash tinting. This course will ensure you have all the skills to expand your career opportunities.

Certificate II in Hairdressing

This course is designed as an introduction to the Hairdressing industry.

With Certificate II you will be able to shampoo clients, offer them a relaxing neck and scalp massage, braid long hair, plus various basin services as well as quick drying techniques, so often needed in the salon. You will also learn how to be an invaluable member of a salon team.

This course gives you seven of the 29 units required to complete Certificate III in Hairdressing.

SPECIAL OFFERS

From time to time The Academy is able to offer you a variety of free accredited Beauty Courses that you can learn during or at the end of your Hairdressing Courses.

Should you wish to undertake further study these courses give you credit towards Certificate III in Beauty Services or Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy.

Many salons request hairdressers who are able to perform some beauty services, the most popular being waxing, manicuring, pedicuring, gel and acrylic nails.

Of course if you plan to own your own salon, being able to offer these extra services is invaluable.

Students who are Sole Parents or have a Disability or Carer's Pension are offered special fees by the Academy so that the course is within their budgets.
