SHORT COURSE FOR MILLY
When Milly Kongwang was studying fashion Design and working in Bangalore, India, she really longed to become a hairdresser and was always cutting friend’s hair.
Milly made plans to have her own salon in Bangalore and, using information on the internet, believed that she would have to complete a 2 year Diploma course if she trained in Australia.
Milly was reluctant to be away from home for so long, but to her delight, after much research, discovered that she could train at The Australian Academy of Hairdressing by doing 12 months Certificate III in Hairdressing (the Trade Certificate) and the Certificate IV in Hairdressing, an advanced certificate in 4 months, plus, the course was so much more affordable. Fro a long time Milly had dreamed of training in Australia as a hairdresser, then returning home with the skills and experience she needed to run her own salon. It was finally coming true! “I own a building in the main street back home and I will use the ground floor as my salon”, said Milly.
“I will be furnishing it when I arrive home and would like to use Schwarzkopf products, I already have friends and family just waiting for me to open the salon! I plan to employ hairdressers and teach them cutting and colouring techniques that The Academy taught me so that they can expand their knowledge”.
Milly started her course at The Academy in 2008 and loves every minute of it. “I’m getting such good experience in the Academy’s salon everyday. Hundreds of people come in to have their hair done and I’m being exposed to so many different types of hair and using many different colours. I’m so passionate when it comes to hair and The Academy has helped boost my confidence so much that I’m discovering I’m quite creative and can’t wait to show off my new skills to everyone at home!”.
You too may be interested in training in Australia for the shortest possible time and then returning home to work in or run your own salon!
Then perhaps, you will decide to migrate after a few years.
Check out the migration website for information, it really helped me.
