Practice with clients begins in the first few weeks. You are also asked to bring models to the Beauty Salon so that you can gain even more experience. WHEN TO START? Courses start every week. You can start at any time. QUALIFICATIONS The qualification you receive on completion of the course is the Certificate III in Beauty Services or Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy. If you do not complete the whole course, but just one or more modules of it, you will receive a "Statement of Attainment". This will give you credits towards the Certificate III or IV, should you wish to continue in the future. EQUIPMENT & RESOURCES The Academy provides all equipment, modules and DVD's. Should you wish to purchase equipment or materials, we have a shop just for students attending. The Academy offers training in all aspects of Beauty at Certificate II, III and IV levels. If you wish, you can study individual Beauty Units such as waxing, manicuring, gel & acrylic nails and facials. You will receive credit for each unit towards your full Certificate III or IV Qualification. Certificate III in Beauty Services The Certificate III in Beauty Services qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to offer a wide range of services to clients in a salon or spa. With this qualification you may want to open your own beauty salon catering for bridal parties which may include nail services, make-up and waxing. Clients love to go to beauty salons and be pampered, we will show you how to do this even down to piercing their ears. If you love making people feel and look great this is the course for you! This Certificate will give you 16 of the units needed to complete Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (21 units). Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy has been designed to develop the first line management skills of those working in the beauty industry. It is an advanced qualification which includes all of the Certificate III units as well as beauty specialist units. Have you ever been to a beauty salon or spa and had a facial? It's the most relaxing, luxurious services, beauty therapists can offer. This course opens the way for you to work in a spa or beauty salon offering a large range of services. The course also includes skills like waxing, make-up, and nails, as well as a thorough knowledge of the skin, including diagnosis of problem areas and providing advice in a professional manner. You will learn how to consult with clients on their skin type, select the best possible products and pamper them using the latest techniques and equipment.
